Hello, World!
BIO
Chris Kroeze (pronounced “Cruise-E”) is a Wisconsin-born roots country and rock artist whose raw, gravel-soaked voice and instinctive guitar work have made him one of the Midwest’s most beloved live performers — and one of the hardest-working musicians in the country.
Performing more than 200 shows per year across the U.S. and internationally — including 14 tours overseas in support of the U.S. Armed Forces — Kroeze is a road-tested, audience-first artist who brings everything to the stage every single night.
Born and raised in Barron, Wisconsin, Kroeze started playing guitar at six years old. Inspired by campfire nights with his father and the raw energy of Lynyrd Skynyrd, he developed a sound rooted in classic country and Southern rock. His first single, “Four Letter Words,” recorded at Nashville’s Station West Recording Studio in 2014, received heavy radio play throughout the Midwest and launched a rapidly accelerating career.
By the time he appeared on NBC’s The Voice in 2018, Kroeze had already logged years on the road opening for acts like Montgomery Gentry and the Doobie Brothers. His run on the show made history — his original song “Human” landed in the TOP 10 on the Billboard HOT 100 and TOP 5 on iTunes, making him the most streamed artist in the show’s history.
Since then, Kroeze has never slowed down. His 2025 releases — including “Trigger Happy,” “Even Rednecks Get the Blues,” and “Mama, I’m Coming Home” — continue to push the boundaries between country, rock, and Americana. A recipient of the Red Cross Community Hero Award, Kroeze still calls Barron, Wisconsin home, raising his family in the same small town that first believed in him.
